Accounting & Purchasing Specialist

Livermore, CA (100% On-Site)

Approximately 30 Hours Per Week

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

$26-$29/Hour

We're partnering with a well-established East Bay organization seeking an Accounting & Purchasing Specialist to support both financial operations and procurement activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, working independently, and being a key contributor on a collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing

Accounting Operations

* Process accounts payable and vendor payments
* Verify invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors
* Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records
* Support accounts receivable, invoicing, and account follow-up
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
* Maintain organized financial documentation
* Support 1099 preparation and compliance reporting
* Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP standards

Purchasing & Vendor Management

* Coordinate purchasing for office, production, and operational supplies
* Create and manage purchase orders
* Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed
* Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries
* Research cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
* Resolve shipping, receiving, and order-related issues

✅ What We're Looking For

✔ 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, procurement, or related experience

✔ Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred

✔ Strong understanding of:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• General Ledger activity
• Financial reporting

✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

✔ ERP system experience is a plus

✔ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

✔ Strong communication and customer service skills

⏰ Schedule

✅ Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM

✅ Approximately 6-hour workday

✅ 100% on-site in Livermore

✅ Approximately 30 hours per week
