Job Description
Administrative Assistant
Small Trucking Business in need of a part-time assistant to provide administrative support to the owner of the company. Hours are 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
· Invoicing and expense tracking using Quickbooks
· Enrolling employees in healthcare and benefits plan
· Communicating with insurance companies
· Answering and directing phone calls and email
· Acting as first point of contact for visitors and clients
· Organizing and maintaining filing system (electronic and physical)
· Managing office supplies and equipment
Required Skills and Competencies
· Basic knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Email
· Basic knowledge of QuickBooks (not required - training is available)
· Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
· Attention to detail and organization abilities
· Time management and multitasking skills
· Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
· Adaptability and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous administrative experience is advantageous
