Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clerk/Typist.


In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:Performs clerical duties requiring judgment in assigned area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Issues pagers, zone assignments, and transportation log sheet to the transporters as they report to work.
• Oversees the flow of patient transportation by monitoring transportation activity via the automated transportation application.
• Monitors transporters activities as they relate to delay codes and assistance required.
• Effectively manages transport emergency hot line for MRTs, Airways, and other critical assistance needed by transporters and elevators.
• Documents all calls to include: elevator requests, improper patient transports, and patient identification issues.
• Contacts the transportation supervisor when issues arise that require his or her attention.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience are required. Computer experience desired. Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of office routine/procedures preferred. Telephone and data entry skills.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.87 - $28.87 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
