  • Public Relations Campaigns: Serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson; craft press releases, media kits, and talking points for major organizational announcements and corporate-sponsored partnerships.
  • Crisis & Governance Communications: Provide proactive risk management and rapid-response messaging regarding organizational governance, property developments, or sensitive internal matters to ensure institutional stability and brand integrity.
  1. Digital Content & Brand Architecture
  • Multi-Channel Strategy: Oversee content development across the Club’s digital ecosystem, ensuring a cohesive brand voice across the website, email newsletters, and premium social media channels.

  • Sponsor Integration: Craft sophisticated co-branded messaging alongside elite corporate partners and sponsors to maximize corporate visibility while preserving institutional prestige.
  1. Internal & Membership Communications

  • Member Engagement: Author executive correspondence, board summaries, and premium organizational updates for the global membership base to drive community retention and elite founding patron engagement.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management, preferably within high-end non-profit institutions, prestigious private members' clubs, or global scientific organizations.
  • Media Record: Proven track record of securing high-profile placements in international press (e.g., New York Times, BBC, Financial Times, National Geographic, Discovery).
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the poise required to interface directly with board trustees, high-net-worth benefactors, corporate executives, and international dignitaries.
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrated experience handling complex corporate governance communications and managing delicate legal or public relations challenges with discretion and a zero-tolerance approach to brand compromise.
  • Mission Alignment: A deep, authentic passion for geography, field science, history, and the spirit of exploration.

Benefits & Culture

The Explorers Club offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including comprehensive health benefits, retirement matching, and generous paid time off.
