AECOM is seeking a full‑time Construction Technician for our Sacramento office. Responsibilities Use of hand and power tools to assemble or disassemble structures. Physical work requiring the ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 50 pounds – must be fit for duty. Perform various laborer functions (3+ years). Tolerate working in outdoor environments. Strictly adhere to Health and Safety protocols both in the office and in the field. General construction support (equipment spotting, hand digging, pipe fitting, concrete, demolition, and painting). General environmental support. Sample collection assistance (soil, sludge, water, vapor). Process pipeline installation and repair. Traffic control functions. Will be tasked with leading small jobs as skills allow. Qualifications Minimum Requirements HS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Must have a valid driver’s license. Occasional travel will be required. Due to the nature of work, U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred Requirements Current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification. May be subject to client‑required drug screens. Operate gasoline and diesel powered equipment. Operate light equipment such as forklifts and skid steers. Pipe fitting and plumbing experience. Knowledge of construction techniques – road construction, grading, asphalt, and concrete.
