Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant with a strong background in security architecture, risk assessment, and implementation of best-practice security controls. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and a proven ability to advise clients on security strategy, identify vulnerabilities, and drive remediation efforts across diverse IT environments.


Key Responsibilities


Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and configuration reviews.


Analyze security posture across networks, cloud environments, and applications; develop detailed risk reports and recommended mitigations.


Design, implement, and optimize security solutions such as firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, IAM, and cloud security tools.


Assist clients in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.


Advise on regulatory and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, and industry-specific standards.


Support security incident response efforts, including investigation, remediation guidance, and post-incident reporting.


Lead or participate in security awareness and training sessions for client teams.


Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, engineering, leadership) to align security initiatives with business goals.


Stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve client environments.


Qualifications


5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related fields.


Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and endpoint protection technologies.


Proficiency with tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Splunk, Wireshark, EDR/XDR platforms, and common security automation tools.


Solid understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response principles.


Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear business recommendations.
