Box 9300, Portland, ME, 04104, US (On-site) Business Unit University of Southern Maine Job Schedule Part time Regular or Temporary Temporary Department USM Cutler Institute Admin Job Description The Survey Research Center at the University of Southern Maine’s Catherine Cutler Institute has immediate openings for temporary part-time survey field researchers. The Survey Research Center conducts several short- and long-term projects each year. We are currently seeking individuals to conduct roadside observations for a highway safety project. This project involves traveling throughout the state of Maine to specified locations.Each workday will last between 9 and 11 hours, depending on travel time. The schedule may involve weekends and overnights. Total number of hours worked per week may vary. Pay is $18.50 per hour, and a mileage reimbursement of $0.67 per mile is provided. This position includes mandatory training which will be held on April 10, May 1, and May 29 in Portland, Maine. Personal transportation and a valid driver’s license are necessary. Required Qualifications: Ability to work independently and attention to detail. Must have the ability to stand for an hour at a time throughout the workday. Experience with Google Maps is a plus.
