Forklift Operator/Material Handler PositionWe have an opening for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler position working at a warehouse located in Tanner, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.Skills/QualificationsProven experience as forklift operator.Valid certification to operate forklifts.Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts including stand-up reach trucks.Strong mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance.Impeccable attention to detail.Ability to perform order picking accurately and efficiently.Familiarity with basic math for inventory counting and tracking.Excellent physical condition and coordination.Ability to work quickly and accurately.Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks as required; up to 50 lb.Duties/ResponsibilitiesLoad or Unload materials from vehicles; stack them properly as assigned.Collect inbound or outbound information using a scanner.Visually inspect all material during and after unloading process.Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.Catalog data with appropriate labels for ease of reference.Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.Inspect machinery by performing daily inspections.Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment of the facilities.Must clock in and out properly and be on time.Willing to assist in manual production duties as needed in the warehouse.
