Full-Time Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher

Semester 1 | 2026–27 School Year

Our client, a private high school in Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time, long-term, substitute Social Studies Teacher for Semester 1 of the 2026–27 school year. This position focuses on teaching Psychology and AP Psychology within a collaborative and student-centered Social Studies department.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents, is committed to academic excellence, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This educator will support student engagement and prepare learners for success in AP-level coursework.

Responsibilities

• Teach Psychology and AP Psychology courses during Semester 1
• Prepare students for success on the AP Psychology exam
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports student learning
• Collaborate with Social Studies colleagues on curriculum and instruction
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Support the school’s mission and core values

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
• Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred (non-licensed candidates may be considered)
• Strong background in Psychology or a related field
• Ability to teach AP-level content and support student exam readiness
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
