Job Summary Join our dynamic Schmidty Team as a Line Cook. We are looking for Line Cooks to work 4, 6, 8 and 10 hour shifts, Weekdays, Weeknights, Weekend Days and Weekend Nights. This crew will be Part-time and Full-time hours. We are flexible. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes. Your skills will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests and their special events. Duties Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling and preparation processes Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively for guests Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service in a timely manner Participate in catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control Experience Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal prep requirements Proven kitchen experience Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife handling and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and culinary best practices Excellent food service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $18 - $22 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
