Note-Able Music Therapy Services of MN is seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) who is clinically strong, solution-oriented, and values both excellence and collaboration. Position Overview

The Music Therapist provides goal-driven music therapy services in individual and group settings. Client populations, diagnoses, and settings vary based on experience, competencies, and professional development goals. Compensation is competitive and based on education and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate goal-driven music therapy sessions for individuals and groups with diverse needs across a variety of settings
  • Complete all required documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, reports, and client communication) accurately and within designated timeframes using an electronic medical record system
  • Conduct client and group assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain a professional, ethical, and respectful presence with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals
  • Maintain MT-BC credential through CMTEs and professional engagement
  • Participate in a minimum of two (2) community events and two (2) tabling events per calendar year
  • Engage in regular supervision with a Team Lead and peers using a collaborative, team-based model
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with families, caregivers, and stakeholders regarding services, progress, and scheduling
  • Work within assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) and practice expectations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalency degree in Music Therapy with 1,040 clinical training hours
  • Board Certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC)
  • Experience in individual and/or group therapy settings preferred (1–2 years encouraged but not required)
  • Private practice experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong clinical musicianship (piano, guitar, voice, rhythmic improvisation)
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities as a clinician
  • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working within established systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology, including Gmail, EMR systems, Google Workspace, and virtual platforms
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to travel within the west, central, south, and east metro areas (flexible based on caseload)
Schedule & Compensation
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Pay Range: $25.00–$35.00 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 30-35 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | No weekends
  • Work Location: In-person (option hybrid) facility located in Lakeville, MN & travel within the greater MN area near your hometown.
