Order Fulfillment Manager

This is a hands-on role combining customer service and wholesale distribution operations . The person will take ownership of customer order problems, coordinate a fast resolution, and investigate what went wrong to help prevent repeat issues.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the central issue inbox and respond quickly to incorrect orders, missed or late deliveries, picking errors, returns, and other service problems.
• Communicate directly with customers, explain solutions, and provide updates through confirmed resolution.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Dispatch, Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to arrange replacement orders, delivery corrections, and other necessary actions.
• Get into the warehouse, speak with employees, investigate discrepancies, and identify root causes.
• Track recurring problems and work with department managers on corrective actions.
• Follow up until every request is acknowledged and completed.

Ideal candidate

• Strong understanding of wholesale distribution, warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, and the full order cycle.
• Proven customer service skills, including handling complaints and difficult conversations.
• A proactive, resourceful problem solver with urgency and exceptional follow-through.
• Comfortable working with frontline warehouse employees, customers, and management.
• Able to drive accountability across departments without directly supervising them.
• ERP and reporting experience preferred.
