We are seeking a Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT) for our North New Jersey crew.

As the Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT) , you will perform a wide variety of projects for various clients across our region. This is a seasonal position, that begins mid-April and continues through the end of November with the opportunity of some winter work. Working hours are 40-50 hours per week with night, weekends and overtime work required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

● Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling and sealcoating, power washing, epoxy flooring and more

● Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project

● Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager

● Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site

● Additional tasks as required

WHAT YOU BRING

• A New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation
• Understand & solve Algebra level mathematics.
• You are Self-Motivated, willing to learn and grow with us.
• Mechanically inclined (small gas engines & tool maintenance knowledge)
• Creative problem solver
• You have a sense of urgency to work efficiently
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)
• Ability to work Overnight/rotating shifts/on-call as needed
• Willing to work overtime if needed
• Able to pass a background check for government contracted jobs
• Ability to work well independently unsupervised

Duties

• Wear proper attire and employer-issued PPE (safety glasses, vests, gloves)
• Safely operate equipment including but not limited to: Truck & Trailer, Line Stripers, Sealcoating Machine, Pressure Washer, Crack Sealing Machine, Concrete Saw & Asphalt Roller.
• Fill out company reports as needed
• Be a team player
• Keep company trucks clean after use
• Use mathematic skills for new layouts
• Ability to understand & interpret blue prints/project plans
• Communicate with operations manager and other crew members
