Oak Tree Child and Family Services is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide high-quality psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for children, adolescents, and families receiving behavioral health services. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges while promoting recovery and wellness.
This is a full-time position. Part-time applicants MAY be considered, but full-time is highly preferred.
Psychiatric Assessment & Diagnosis· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
· Assess risk factors including suicide, self-harm, and crisis situations and implement appropriate interventions.
Medication Management· Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications in accordance with best clinical practices.
· Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up appointments.
· Educate clients and families about medications, side effects, and treatment expectations.
· Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify plans as clinically appropriate.
Collaboration & Integrated Care· Collaborate with therapists, case managers, peer specialists, and other healthcare providers.
· Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
· Coordinate care with primary care providers, hospitals, schools, and community agencies when appropriate.
Documentation & Compliance· Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
· Ensure services meet state, federal, and insurance regulatory standards.
· Follow all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
Client & Family Education· Provide education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
· Support families in understanding and participating in treatment planning.
Requirements:· Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
· Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
· Active Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) license.
· DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
· Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychiatric diagnostic practices.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
