Position Summary The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services, operating and maintaining equipment, moving boxes, stocking materials, managing the production queue, handling complex projects, and managing retail supply based on priority. Life Insurance and AD&D on the date of hire; other voluntary benefits available. General Duties and Responsibilities Follow instructions of supervisors and assist teammates in store functions. Engage customers with consultative behaviors to understand individualized needs. Provide expertise on printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines. Provide outstanding customer service, anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and resolve problems quickly. Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information. Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping, including wrapping, container insertion, weighing, and labeling. Operate printing, binding, and related equipment with customer‑supplied media. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store. Ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages. Process financial transactions via Point of Sale terminal, including cash handling. Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies. Maintain current knowledge of retail merchandising materials and ensure proper display. Prevent errors and waste through preemptive actions. Complete required financial paperwork and assist with reporting. Adhere to FedEx Office standard operating procedures and all policies. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and seek opportunities to improve skills. Operate with minimal supervision while adhering to all store standards. Perform any other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education. At least 6 months of specialized retail or customer service experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Essential Functions Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, excluding meal and rest periods. Ability to move and lift 55 pounds. Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees as needed. Effective communication with customers, vendors, and teammates. Perform work activities that require cooperation and instruction. Function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure. Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods. Work with minimal supervision. Maintain consistent attendance and regular reporting of work hours. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a retail environment, familiarity with printing or shipping, and a willingness to learn new technologies are preferred. Pay Transparency $19.70 - $26.60/hr.
