Position Summary The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This customer‑service focused team member is knowledgeable in all store business areas, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services. The Consultant operates and maintains a variety of equipment, moves boxes, stocks materials, manages the production queue and output, handles complex projects, manages retail supply, and completes assigned tasks based on priority. People Follows supervisor instructions and assists other team members Assists in training store team members Service Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s individualized need Provides expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines and recommends appropriate products Provides outstanding customer service by anticipating needs and finding solutions Ensures customer problems are resolved quickly and satisfactorily Takes complex orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping (wrapping, weighing, labeling) Sets up and operates printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer‑supplied media Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store Profit Ensures confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents and packages Processes financial transactions using POS, including handling cash and making change Cleans, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies Stays current on merchandising materials and ensures proper display of products and signage Takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste Completes required financial paperwork and may assist with reporting (sales, close‑outs, bank deposits) Follows FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adheres to all policies (legal, HR, safety, customer service, security) Self‑Management Performs multiple tasks simultaneously Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the store Operates with minimal supervision Adheres to all team member and store standards as outlined in the handbook Performs any other duties as needed or required Minimum Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education 6+ months of specialized experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Essential Functions Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods Ability to lift and move 55 pounds Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees consistently Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members consistently Ability to perform work activities that require cooperation and instruction consistently Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure consistently Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods consistently Ability to work with minimal supervision consistently Ability to report regularly, maintain established business hours, and support the FedEx Office business consistently Pay $20.75 - $24.37/hr Pay Transparency & Benefits This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, location, and other factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.
