Illinois Central School Bus, a division of North America Central School Bus, is looking for Bus Aides to join our growing team in Waterloo, IL. Description:

• Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute. Keeps order on the bus.
• Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver. Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheelchair lifts.
• Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attend all safety and training meetings.
• Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door. May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.
• Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, ICSB, etc.
• Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
• Other specialized functions as required by contract.

Qualification:

• Good verbal communication skills
• At least 18 years old & hold a valid state I.D.
• Pass a background check, drug screen & physical

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.80 per hour
