As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour

Tue 10:45 AM - 06:15 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public-facing location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, lobbies, administrative areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control, visitor assistance, and incident reporting functions, helping to address security-related concerns involving employees, guests, exhibits, and/or public property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
