As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, checking identification as required, and/or directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
Complete security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity summaries, and communicate noteworthy events during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
Have a minimum of 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
