Located along the Intracoastal Waterway at the Islander 71 Marina, Islander 71 Fish House & Raw Bar is one of Charleston’s top waterfront destinations. Known for fresh seafood, an upbeat atmosphere, and genuine Southern hospitality, Islander 71 features three bars, multiple dining areas, live music, and boat-up access. The restaurant also hosts private events, celebrations, and community gatherings year-round—bringing locals and visitors together for unforgettable coastal experiences.
The Role
We’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated servers to join our high-energy service team. As part of the Islander 71 family, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service, teamwork, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, professionalism, and a genuine desire to grow in a continuous-improvement environment. Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service throughout the guest experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure seamless communication with the kitchen and bar teams
Deliver food and drinks promptly, with precision and care for presentation and guest satisfaction
Anticipate guest needs, resolve issues professionally, and ensure each visit exceeds expectations
Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to contribute to a smooth, positive shift
Collaborate with teammates to maintain smooth operations during high-volume service
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and pride in continuous improvement
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a server in a high-volume or upscale casual restaurant
Strong communication, multitasking, and guest service skills
Reliable, punctual, and proactive with excellent attention to detail
Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-energy setting
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
