Description:
Sigma is seeking a Construction Manager to support one of our active construction projects in St. Louis.

Project Needs

Immediate start
St. Louis Life Science campus
Candidate will assume responsibilities mid project

The resource is expected to be on site during the period of contract. Any remote work to be discussed and agreed with the project manager. There is potential for weekend work. There is potential for supporting 24/7 construction activities for a period of 6-8 weeks in May/June.
There is preference for a construction management resource with 10 experience and great communication and safety skills.
The resource will be reporting to a project manager. The resource will work with engineering, GC, and site operations.
There is a preference (not mandatory) for resources with experience executing brown field construction in an operating life-science site.
There are two projects in consideration for this support. Both are ongoing project which have scopes in multiple stages of construction / commissioning activities.
Below is job description (keep in mind the below description is not all inclusive, but it is a good representation):
This resource to function as a member of the local supervisory team and oversees all functions associated with construction management for the capital project(s) he/she is assigned. He/she will work directly with engineering, facilities, maintenance, and safety on the job site. The right resource will drive the means and method for construction and work closely with contractors to schedule the construction activities. He/she will provide input and direction to scheduling as well as insight on change notices and reporting. He/she will advise and direct activities which impact facilities and maintenance activities at the site for the capital project(s) for the engineering portion of the organization. This resource will interact with other departments to support operations and insure that both the site and departmental responsibilities are met as part of the project delivery model.

Major Position Activities & Responsibilities:
Drive day to day construction activities for assigned capital projects
Support site safety
Participate in the review of scope changes and vendor/contractor change orders
Work with the construction team to provide critical lift plans for equipment installations
Provide input on Construction schedule
Execute means and methods for all construction activities on site
Coordinate plant with other departments for site wide outages for construction activities
Develop and drive the enforcement of Build Clean Protocols
Will review all construction bids and provide basis for vendor selection for assigned project(s)
Support and provide training on site safety requirements
