DescriptionKforce's client in Plano, TX that is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake/Python Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT development, and data integration. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data pipelines and optimize data performance.Key Responsibilities:* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Snowflake* Build and support ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources* Develop data models, schemas, and solutions to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives* Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse management* Integrate data from APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party applications* Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and monitoring solutions* Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions* Support data governance, security, compliance, and access control standards* Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure data reliability* Document technical designs, workflows, and data architecture standards* Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practicesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field* 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles* Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud* Advanced proficiency in Python development* Experience building ETL/ELT frameworks and automating data workflows* Strong SQL skills with experience optimizing complex queries* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform* Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling* Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git* Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsJob TypeContractCompensation60 - $80
