Job Title

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Expected 72 hours biweekly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with patient ratios of 1:3–5
• Titrate vasopressors as required for hemodynamically complex patients
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed; floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shift
• Complete a day-one pass/fail competency assessment upon start
• Adhere to scheduled start dates and weekend rotation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate vasopressors/pressors required
• Candidates who have not previously traveled must have Level 1 trauma experience
• Must have been separated from the hiring health system (in any capacity — permanent, per diem, or contract) for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
