Job Details Unarmed Contract Security Officer - $33.38 Pentagon Force Protection Agency Unarmed CSOs needed for an ad-hoc assignment, 3 days per
week, 1800-2200 hours
Objective The ability to effectively interact with the general public, DoD personnel, military ranks, civilians, and visitors. This position is under the direct supervision of the site Captain for the assigned shift of the security department. It is responsible for protecting, safeguarding, and securing assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.
Essential functions Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, discreet and courteous demeanor under stressful situations, security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in the English language as necessary.
- Performs security patrols.
- Enforces access control procedures.
- Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
- Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
- Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
- May perform other related duties as assigned by the site security Lieutenant/Captain and/or security Project Manager.
Candidate Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must Be 21 years of age
Must be a high school/GED graduate
Must possess a clearance level of Secret issued by the U.S. Department of Defense
Must have one of the following:
Three years of security experience OR an associate's Degree or at least 60 semester hours of college coursework in any field of study OR 3 years of military service (active duty or reserve) with an honorable discharge.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications The applicant must submit to a pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
The applicant must complete a Physical Agility Test (PAT) successfully.
