Job Description

Our Seattle based Digital Workplace partner is looking for an experienced and influential Senior UX Researcher to help create great employee experiences at work and push our solutions to a new level. We are a group of user-centered designers and researchers that are expanding quickly, which means you will have the opportunity to make an impact not just on the product, but on how the organization works.

Job Duties -"• Partnering closely with designers, product managers, business partners, and senior leadership, the senior UX researcher conducts exploratory, formative, and evaluative research studies that enable teams to make informed and confident decisions.
• In this role you'll be expected to plan, lead, and socialize research studies to help drive employee experiences with our technology.
• As a senior UX researcher, you will own the development of research and insights for one to two product teams that drive the way our product organization understands and designs for our store employees.
• You will have expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., knowing when to use different methods, how to determine the right research approach).
• Plan, design, and lead end-to-end research studies and facilitate the research process for product teams and business stakeholders.
• Conduct research using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Package insights into tools and assets for designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to leverage (e.g., frameworks, use cases, design recommendations).
• Drive leadership buy in and support by regularly meeting, presenting findings, connecting to business outcomes, and quantifying business value.
• Find creative and compelling ways to present and evangelize insights throughout the company, tailoring findings to suit the audience.
• Create artifacts, educational tools, experiences, and processes that help build and evangelize the UX Research within the larger organization.
• Ability to frame key questions, create research plans to address those, conduct research, and synthesize the findings into meaningful, actionable insights.
• Passion for defining and solving problems.

Job Requirements -"• 5+ years corporate UX Research experience
• You are an excellent communicator, excited to work closely with stakeholders, and motivated by Starbucks mission and values.
• Ability to design and conduct usability studies-i.e., identify potential solution options for a stated user need and design experiments that help elicit the most viable solution for users Experience managing communications with users and stakeholders
• Experience researching across multiple products
• Strong experience with qualitative (e.g., In-depth interviews, concept & usability testing, card sorting, co-design) and quantitative research methods (e.g., surveying)
• Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Survey Gizmo)
• Solid understanding of wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Invision, DSM, Zeppelin, Adobe XD and creative suite or other visual tools
• You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently and effectively with cross-functional teams
• You can perform and improvise under tight timelines and changing environments
• You are a natural leader, make connections easily, and an advocate for our partners
• Positive attitude, collaborative spirit and openness to giving and receiving feedback
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns. Ability to work with a dedicated Strategist.
