Position Overview

The Warehouse & Delivery Manager plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Paul Davis. This individual is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, product handling, delivery logistics, and showroom presentation. The ideal candidate leads by example, maintains a polished and professional image, and treats every customer touchpoint — from the warehouse to the front door — as a reflection of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

•        Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and security of the warehouse at all times

•        Maintain accurate inventory records and track product movement from receiving to delivery

•        Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming merchandise to prevent damage

•        Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams on stock levels and special orders

•        Conduct routine inventory audits and report discrepancies promptly

 

Delivery Operations

•        Plan and execute all customer deliveries in an efficient, timely, and professional manner

•        Load and unload merchandise safely, ensuring all items are properly protected during transit

•        Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes

•        Ensure deliveries meet company quality standards, including white-glove placement when required

•        Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer acknowledgment upon completion

 

Showroom Maintenance

•        Maintain the showroom floor in impeccable condition, reflecting the aesthetic standards required

•        Assist with furniture placement, staging updates, and floor resets as directed

•        Ensure all display items are clean, properly arranged, and free of damage

•        Coordinate with the sales team on showroom layout changes and incoming merchandise displays

•        Perform light maintenance and address minor facility needs to keep the space guest-ready at all times

 

Company Assets & Equipment

•        Maintain and inspect all delivery vehicles, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition

•        Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly and coordinate service as needed

•        Safeguard all company tools, equipment, and assets; report damage or loss immediately

•        Ensure proper use of moving equipment including dollies, straps, blankets, and lift gates

 

Professional Image & Team Standards

•        Represent our company with a professional appearance and demeanor in all customer and public interactions

•        Uphold company dress code and ensure all team members under your supervision do the same

•        Model respectful, courteous communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues at all times

•        Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment in the warehouse and on deliveries

•        Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, company policies, and operating procedures

Qualifications

•        2+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or delivery operations preferred

•        Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate box trucks and cargo vans

•        Demonstrated ability to lift and maneuver large, heavy furniture items (up to 100+ lbs with assistance)

•        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

•        Excellent communication and customer service skills

•        Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

•        Professional appearance and a commitment to representing our brand with pride

•        Experience in home furnishings, moving, or staging is a plus
