Window and Door Installer to help deliver and install top-quality windows and doors. If you love working with your hands, solving problems, and making customers happy, this could be the perfect fit!
Essential Functions and Duties: - Install replacement windows, door systems, insulated glass units, service parts and shower doors to the standards set forth by Mountain View Window & Door and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all products installed and are in proper working order before leaving the jobsite.
- Uses various hand and power tools to install products.
- Vision to see the job, plan the course of work and safely execute the plan to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to coworkers with detailed notes on job completion forms.
- Ability to determine priorities and organize work assignments for the best efficiency.
- Confirm details of proposed installation with customer prior to starting installation and explain installation process in simple terms to establish trust and confidence with the customer.
- Be a proactive problem solver. Successfully handle on-site issues, make decisions, solve problems, and create solutions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Stay up to date on installation techniques and product offerings.
- Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
- Paint trim prior to installation as needed.
- Make jobsite deliveries with all products counted on the truck and counted off the truck.
- Restock warehouse trim and products. Notify the office when products are low in inventory.
- Ensure that tools and work-related equipment are kept in safe and good working order. Notify supervisor when a replacement is needed.
- Take before and after pictures of all jobs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Candidates must possess 1-2 years of experience in window and door installation or a related field.
- Must possess and maintain a valid and insurable driver's license.
- Participate in manually loading and unloading products by repetitive lifting of up to 90 lbs.
- No fears of heights, working on ladders or roofs.
- Proficient use of tape measure and all power tools.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment year-round.
- Able to work and think independently and ensure deadlines are met.
Education and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Pay/Schedule :
- $22.00-$26.00 an hour; DOE
- Full time
- Monday through Friday; 40 hours
