Job Details MTAC is actively recruiting armed security officers in Frederick, Maryland for part-time coverage. The selected individual will be assigned to cover various armed posts in the city of Frederick. Compensation for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Job Duties and Responsibilities May Include - Facility patrols
- Assisting employees and visitors
- Responding to alarms
- Report writing
- Adherence to all applicable rules and regulations
- Perform duties in a professional manner
- Maintain situational awareness
Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands - May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area
- Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift, run as needed
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
- Frequent moving and/or lifting
Minimum Qualifications - United States citizenship
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card
- Reliable method of transportation
- Security Guard Card Credentials
- Pass drug screening and background investigation
- A reasonable level of physical fitness
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn security operations and procedures
- Ability to read and write the English language fluently
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances
- Ability to adapt to changes in the environment and organization
Certification Requirements - Baton and OC Spray Certification
- Maryland Armed Security Guard Credentials
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Maryland Guard Card
Education Requirements - High School Diploma or GED
