About Code Ninjas At Code Ninjas, we’re creating the problem solvers of tomorrow by teaching kids to code in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment. Kids ages 5–14 learn to code through engaging games, robotics, and hands‑on projects that build critical thinking, logic, and creativity. Our Senseis are the heartbeat of our Dojo—mentoring students, guiding their learning journey, and making coding exciting and accessible. Position Summary The Code Sensei is responsible for leading coding sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to students (our Ninjas), and maintaining a positive learning environment. You’ll use our curriculum to help Ninjas progress through belt levels—just like martial arts—while fostering a love for STEM. Key Responsibilities Coach and mentor students ages 5–14 through Code Ninjas' proprietary curriculum. Track student progress and provide constructive feedback. Set up and maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized Dojo environment. Communicate with parents and the Center Director about student progress and behavior. Assist with camps, workshops, and special events as needed. Requirements Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc.). Strong communication, patience, and problem‑solving skills. Positive, energetic, and team‑oriented personality. Must pass background check. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with LEGO® Spike Prime or other robotics platforms. Familiarity with game development or Unity. Previous experience in a STEM education role. Schedule Work at least two shifts per week between the Center open hours: During the School Year: Tue - Friday 4 PM - 8:00 PM and Sat 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM Occasionally, additional hours will be requested for various Code Ninjas events that are in the evenings on weekdays or weekends.
