Job Location – Lakeville, MN 55044 & Utica, NY 13502 Black River Systems Company, a small, established research-oriented engineering firm headquartered in Utica, NY, is looking for a Computer Engineer. The candidate should have a strong background in software development and computer architectures. This position will require the candidate to perform in a variety of roles. This includes customer relations, computer system architecture design and development, and software development based on customer requirements, system customization, pre‑deployment testing, equipment deployment, on‑site training, analytical support and remote monitoring during the initial operational period, support of fielded signals intelligence systems, and most importantly technical support and interface for customer product issues. Position Requirements Bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field. Minimum overall GPA of 3.25 Computer software design and development experience for LINUX and/or Windows platforms Knowledge in real‑time embedded, object‑oriented, parallel and multithreaded systems, database systems, and client/server network architecture is desired. Knowledge in all aspects of systems or software architecture development including requirements, design, code, system integration and test and documentation is desired. High degree of interpersonal and team building skills to work as part of a team of government, military, and contractor personnel. US Citizenship – must have or be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance.
