Essential Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate heavy commercial vehicles (Tractor-Trailers or Straight Trucks with manual transmissions) in varied metropolitan traffic and winter weather conditions.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee strict DOT safety compliance.
• Load and unload fuel or oil products efficiently, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols regarding hazardous materials.
• Utilize integrated on-board computer applications to track routing, manage invoices, and accurately record logs.

Candidate Requirements

• Licensure: Valid New York State (NYS) CDL (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
• Required Commercial Experience: A minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience operating:
• • Tractor-Trailer (2 years required) — must be experienced with Manual Transmissions (No E-Restriction/Manual restriction on license).
  • OR Straight Truck (2 years required) — must be experienced with Manual Transmissions (No E-Restriction/Manual restriction on license).
• Endorsements & Credentials:
• • Valid Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements (or combined X endorsement).
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
  • Valid, up-to-date DOT Medical Card.
• Core Skills: Must be dependable, diligent, highly reliable, and computer literate (for utilizing standard logging devices and routing software).
• Education: High School Diploma or College coursework is preferred.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass an mandatory Background Clearance, Drug Test, and an on-the-road practical driving examination.
