Compensation: $22–$29/hour + shift differential

Bonus: $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid in first paycheck with 1-year commitment)

• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Summary

A healthcare facility in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician II (Certified Lead) to support sterile processing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining surgical instruments and ensuring proper sterilization, decontamination, and case preparation within a fast-paced clinical environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in sterile processing, with a strong understanding of infection control standards and instrument handling.

Key Responsibilities

Sterile Processing & Instrument Management

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments
• Ensure proper handling, inspection, and maintenance of equipment
• Prepare and case-pick instruments for surgical procedures
• Maintain organization and inventory of instrument trays

Quality & Compliance

• Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilization standards
• Monitor and document sterilization processes for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure all equipment and procedures meet regulatory and safety requirements

Team Support & Workflow

• Serve as a lead resource within the sterile processing function
• Support efficient workflow across shifts and communicate effectively with clinical teams
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior healthcare or sterile processing experience required
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications:
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
• HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association)
• CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Solid understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control practices
